Ugo Pagallo

Ugo Pagallo is Professor of Jurisprudence at the Department of Law, University of Turin, since 2000, faculty at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS) in London and faculty fellow at the Nexa Center for Internet and Society at the Politecnico of Turin. Member of the European RPAS Steering Group (2011-2012), and the Group of Experts for the Onlife Initiative set up by the European Commission (2012-2013), he is chief editor of the Digitalica series published by Giappichelli in Turin and co-editor of the AICOL series by Springer. Author of nine monographs and numerous essays in scholarly journals, his main interests are AI & law, network and legal theory, robotics, and information technology law (specially data protection law, copyright, and online security). He currently is member of the Ethical Committee of the CAPER project, supported by the European Commission through the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
