Massimo Durante is Associate Professor in Philosophy of Law at the Department of Law of the University of Turin. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Law, Department of Law, University of Turin, and a Ph.D. in Moral Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Paris IV Sorbonne. He teaches courses in Legal Informatics, Law and Technology, and Philosophy of Law at the Department of Law, University of Turin. He is member of the Board of the International Ph.D. Program “Law, Science, and Technology”. His main fields of research concern the relationship between Law and Technology, Computer and Information Ethics, Privacy and Data Protection.
Author of several books, he has widely published papers, essays, and book chapters in Italian, English and French. Member of editorial boards and peer-reviewer for several international reviews, he has been involved in many research projects in the fields of Philosophy of Law, Legal Informatics, and ICTs policies.
