Massimo Durante is Researcher in Philosophy of Law at the Department of Law of the University of Turin. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Law, Department of Law, University of Turin, and a Ph.D. in History of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Paris IV Sorbonne. He teaches courses in Legal Informatics and Philosophy of Law at the Department of Law, University of Turin. He is member of the Board of the International Erasmus Mundus Phd Program “Law, Science, and Technology”. His main fields of research concern the relation between Law and Ethics, Legal Informatics, Computer and Information Ethics. Author of several books, he has widely published articles, essays and book chapters in Italian, English and French. He is also member of editorial boards and peer-reviewer for several international reviews. He has been involved in many research projects in the fields of Philosophy of Law, Legal Informatics, and ICTs policies. He is also currently interested in Governance Theory and Digital Democracy.
