Alessandro Quaranta is a telecommunication engineering student at Politecnico di Torino. In 2012 he attended the course Rivoluzione Digitale, held by Professor De Martin and in March 2014 he started an internship at the Nexa Center for Internet and Society. During this period, he helped Simone Basso in the development of the Neubot application for Android, with particular attention to the use of Android NDK. As final work, he implemented a test for uTP (the protocol used by BitTorrent) to analyze its performances and compare it with TCP.

In May 2014, he took part in the Hack4Med hackathon, with the
OpenEnergMAP team.
