Claudio Tamburrino is a journalist and expert of intellectual property. He has a degree in Political Science and International relations from Luiss University and a master’s degree in Management of Intellectual Property from the Alma Graduate School of the University of Bologna. He studied with special interest the aspect of intellectual property related to the patentability of biotechnology, the software-related issues, the mechanism of technology transfer within University offices and the european structural research funds.

He holds an LL.M. in intellectual property law from the University of Turin and WIPO academy with a research paper on the Apple-Sansung patent war with the title "Multi-jurisdictional disputes in IP: problems and perspectives".

As a journalist he writes about IP related issues and digital technology for Punto-Informatico and Quaderni Radicali.

During his visiting period at the Nexa Center for Internet and Society after obtained the LL.M. in IP Law, he took part in the project Public Domain Calculator, studying the evolution of the term of protection of Copyright in Italy.

Now he collaborates as Business developer with MangoIP, and as a journalist with West-info and Punto-Informatico.
