Fellow 2011-2018
Federico Cairo, graduated in Philosophy at the Collegio Superiore of University of Bologna in 2005 and in Media Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2008, received the Ph.D. degree from Politecnico di Torino in 2013. His research interests include Natural Language Processing and Linked Data technologies for digital libraries. After collaborating with CSI-Piemonte and Politecnico di Torino on the projects CoOPERARE (2010), dati.piemonte.it (2010), OPSA (2011), Open-DAI, (2012) he was awarded a “Working Capital – Premio Nazionale Innovazione 2011” by Telecom Italia for the project TellMeFirst, a tool for classifying and enriching textual documents via Linked Open Data. He is currently a project manager at Expert System SpA and a fellow at Nexa Center for Internet and Society, where he continues contributing to TellMeFirst as a technology supervisor.
