Carmine Antonio Perri graduated in Law at the University of Bologna in 2011. He has acquired an extensive experience in a wide range of Intellectual Property matters having worked for prominent Law firms specialized in that particular field of Law.
In 2014, after having completed a study period in Manchester (UK), he enrolled on the LL.M in Intellectual Property jointly organized by University of Turin, WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) and ITC-ILO, writing a final research paper entitled “Trade mark law and Free/Open Source system”, which has recently been published.
In 2015, Perri has been admitted on the Copyright X course delivered by Harvard Law School, for his performance at the LL.M in Intellectual Property.
During his period as visiting researcher at the Nexa Center for Internet & Society, his work was mainly focused on a project (named “SeLiLi”), whose core part consisted in analysing and studying in depth free licensing systems (e.g. Creative Commons).
