The symposium focuses on the ongoing reform of the EU data protection framework.

The symposium is introduced by a keynote speech given by Prof. Lee A. Bygrave (University of Oslo), Director of the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law, regarded as one of the leading European academics in the field of data protection law.
A panel discussion follows on the different issues related to privacy and consumer protection. The panel brings together representatives from ICT companies and the Italian Data Protection Authority.
